Ever since my earliest childhood, I have always had a love for music. Music can do so many things, from set a mood to make a moment perfect. I have very diverse taste in music, and some of the things I like can be found on these pages:
OK, I admit it. My name is AllyKatt and I am an 80's music addict. It has been virtually no time at all since my last vinyl LP. Unlike a lot of you, the 80's were my era -- Middle School, High School, and College. So, of course, I am obsessed with the music; some of it innovative and unusual, some of it so sweet it will make you sick. But all of it 80's. Below you will find some links to the groups I admire -- then and now -- and I hope you enjoy! Most of these artists and their records are available through the links below. Many of the musicians that have moved me or influenced me have been lumped into a group referred to as "Modern Folk" music. Some of these guys have been around since the 60's folk movement, and others have been influenced by them, or just came across the sound all on their own. Either way, they are very diverse musicians that are brought together by a common interest in accoustic, lyric-driven music. Listed below are some links to homepages and records of some of the modern folk musicians I listen to, with more to follow.
